Plane Crashes In Algeria 257 Dead As

A military aircraft which crashed outside Algiers, the Algerian capital has claimed the lives of No fewer than 257 people.Naija News learnt that the plane which was said to be headed to Tindouf in Algeria’s south, home to camps for refugees and was said to be carrying mainly soldiers crashed just some time after it took off.
According to the country’s defence ministry, the victims consisted of 10 crew members and 247 passengers who were mainly soldiers and their families.
The ministry added that Investigations are still been carried out as the reason for the crash is yet to be ascertained
Naija News learnt that 14 Ambulance immediately gravitated towards the scene to rescue injured people.
The crash is the worst in Algeria since 2003 when an Air Algerie jet crashed, killing 102 people.

NEWS-After returning Dapchi girls, Boko Haram kills five in Niger

At least five civilians were killed and several others wounded in an attack by suspected Boko Haram militants in southeast Niger, near the border with Nigeria, according to local sources. “The BH (Boko Haram) came to the market place Friday evening, they shot the crowd and took food,” said a resident of Toummour, in the southwest Diffa region, which was targeted by the attack. A local official on Sunday confirmed the toll of “five dead, all civilians”, adding that several were also wounded in the attack.
